Category Image Sync Safari Bookmarks to Other Browsers (and Other Macs)

If you’re like me, you have a mess of bookmarks across several browsers. I’ve been looking for an easy way to keep all my bookmarks in sync. Using SBC and SBE… this process is a lot easier than you think.
1. Download Safari Bookmarks Checker (SBC)
2. Download Safari Bookmarks Exporter (SBE)
3. Launch SBC, click the Check button, and SBC will check the validity of all of your Bookmarks in Safari. The application will return the name of the bookmark, the URL, and the HTTP code (200, 301, 302, 404, etc.). You can then use SBC to edit/delete bookmarks and make sure they are all valid

4. Once you are satisfied with your Safari bookmarks, exit SBC and save the changes
5. Launch SBE and click the Analyze Bookmarks button. SBE will copy the bookmarks from Safari, and allow you to export them to other browsers. Check the boxes that correspond to the browsers you are using (Firefox, Opera, Camino, etc.) and click the Export Bookmarks button

6. SBE will sync all browsers with your Safari bookmarks (NOTE: to avoid all the prompts, simply check the Automatically replace existing bookmark files box)
7. All your browsers should now be in sync
8. Now for the fun part… if you are a .Mac member, you can use iSync to sync your Safari bookmarks across multiple Macs, then run SBE on each Mac to keep all browsers in sync
9. If you are not a .Mac member, you can simply copy this file: ~/Library/Safari/bookmarks.plist to a network share or removable media and manually synchronize it across multiple Macs
