New iPods!!!
Apple updated the entire iPod line at this
morning's special event.
The iconic music player has been updated and
expanded to include 4 new models: shuffle, nano, classic, and touch. The 1 GB
iPod
shuffle has been updated with 5 new colors and still sells for $79.
The iPod
nano was completely revamped and now sells in 4 GB & 8 GB sizes
$149 & $199 respectively. The original iPod is now called the iPod
classic and the 80 GB model is now $249. A new 160 GB model was added
with a $349 price tag. In addition to these updates, Apple has created a new
iPod model called the iPod touch, which is essentially an iPhone
without the phone. The iPod touch will ship in two models, 8 GB and 16 GB at
$299 and $399. Like the iPhone, the iPod touch will include a full version of
Safari, and a few more widgets. As an additional bonus, Apple has added a iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store so songs can be
purchased directly from your iPhone or iPod touch. Overall... today proved to be
an impressive event. Hopefully Apple will keep these things
coming.
